Northland Rail Service is a bluegrass trio with Dave Pike on lead vocals, banjo, and guitar. Dave is joined by Keenan Reimer-Watts on fiddle and Taylor Esch on the "middle" - a cello that he's rebuilt to play like a bass. On stage, their energy is contagious as they tear through old-time and bluegrass classics and originals with glee. Their three-part harmonies round out the sound and harken back to the good old days and the cabin on the hill. As seasoned live performers, they've toured across Canada, performed at multiple festivals big and small, radio, TV, bars, and private events.

The Caraways are an indie-folk band that started out as a duo project between Hannah Wright and Mariah Martin back in 2015. After playing a couple cafe shows, Wright and Martin decided they needed percussion in their duo and invited Scott Carere to become a part of their band. At the beginning of 2017, The Caraways were happy to invite Ethan Meyers as their full-time drummer and Carere moved to vocals and guitar. Wright does vocals, banjo, and bass while Martin sings vocals and plays the keys. The group mostly plays covers of their favourite bands, ranging from plucky folk music by “The Oh Hellos” to the more soulful songs of “The Lumineers”. The group also plays songs written by Carere from his solo project “Young Pilot” and songs written by Martin. The Caraways have played the Grand Porch Party, the Winter Porch Party, and private gigs for people in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. The group has played alongside local band, To The Trees and Winnipeg based singer-songwriter, Justin LaCroix. The Caraways are beginning work on their first EP of original songs that they hope to release at the end of this summer.
